Two cabinets, sized for real houses
Both models carry the battery, the hybrid inverter and the protection in one enclosure. The difference is capacity and inverter rating, not build quality.
AW-10
The default choice for a house with one air conditioner and 3–5 kWp of panels.
| Usable energy | 10.24 kWh (48 V, 200 Ah) |
|---|---|
| Chemistry | LFP (lithium iron phosphate) |
| Hybrid inverter | 6 kW, single phase, PV + grid input, backup output |
| Form factor | Wall-mount or floor-standing cabinet, steel enclosure |
| Cycle life | 6,000 cycles at 80% DoD (cell datasheet) |
| Protection | BMS with cell monitoring, breaker, fuse, temperature management |
| Communication | CAN / RS485, meter input for zero-export control |
| Certification | UN38.3 for transport; CE / IEC 62619 and country schemes run per market |
| Ships as | One cabinet, mounting bracket, manual, test report per unit |
AW-15
For a larger house, two air conditioners, or a market where outages last more than half a day.
| Usable energy | 15.36 kWh (48 V, 300 Ah) |
|---|---|
| Chemistry | LFP, same cell family as AW-10 |
| Hybrid inverter | 8 kW, single phase, PV + grid input, backup output |
| Form factor | Floor-standing cabinet, steel enclosure |
| Cycle life | 6,000 cycles at 80% DoD (cell datasheet) |
| Protection | BMS with cell monitoring, breaker, fuse, temperature management |
| Certification | UN38.3 for transport; CE / IEC 62619 and country schemes run per market |
What decides the size
What must keep running
The list of loads that stay on during an outage, in watts, and how long they must run. This sets the usable energy, not the total house consumption.
The biggest single load
A pump, a welder or an air conditioner compressor has a starting surge several times its running rating. That number decides whether 6 kW is enough or the answer is 8 kW.
The PV you can fit
Roof area and orientation set the daily harvest. A battery without enough PV is a generator replacement, not a solar system, and it changes the payback maths.
The tariff and the grid
Time-of-use pricing, export limits and how often the grid actually fails. Two houses with identical loads need different systems if one has three outages a week and the other has none.
